காஞ்சிபுரத்தில் தங்கள் பழைய ஸ்கூலில் 46 வருஷங்களுக்குப் பிறகு சென்ற 4 டிசம்பர் 2011-ல் சந்தித்த பிறகு, விஜயாவும் அவளது தோழிகளும் டெலிஃபோன் தொடர்பில் இருந்து கொண்டே இருந்தனர். மீண்டும் எல்லாரும் தங்கள் வீட்டில் சந்திக்கலாம் என ஸ்ரீமதி தேவசுந்தரி சொல்ல, அது போலவே சுமார் 20 பேர் அவரது தாம்பரம் வீட்டில் ஃபிப்ரவரி 2ஆம் தேதி [வியாழனன்று] சந்தித்தனர். விஜயா காலை 8-15க்கு கிளம்பி அடையாறு சென்று ஸ்ரீமதி சாந்தியுடன் காரில் சென்றாள். ஒவ்வொருவராக வந்து கலந்து கொண்டனர். மைசூரிலிருந்து ஒருவரும், மதுரையிலிருந்து ஒருவரும் இதற்காகவே சென்னை வந்தது குறிப்பிடத் தக்கது. காஞ்சிபுரத்திலிருந்து சுமார் 10 பேர் வந்தனர். தேவசுந்தரியும் அவரது தங்கை, தம்பியும் தடபுடலாக விருந்து சமைத்தனர். சப்பாத்தி, குருமா, புலவ், ராய்த்தா, தயிர் சாதம், ஐஸ்கிரீம் என இன்னும் பல ஐட்டங்கள் செய்தனர். எல்லாரும் பேசிக்கொண்டு சாப்பிட்ட பின்னர் சாயங்காலம் வீடு/ ஊர் திரும்பினர். ராஜப்பா 0930 3-2-2012

It was in the air for many weeks; I wrote about it in October 2011. The momentum gathered fast when the HINDU met 5 at Vadapalani and published the meet with a large photo. Boarded the bus at 0610 for Kanchipuram and she reached there by 8-15. Arrived in Sri Kamakshi Amman Koil and waited. Ladies of the 1965-class of Somasundara Kanya Vidyalaya (SSKV) Kanchipuram started arriving, and the next 30 minutes saw over 40 assembling. A few had seen the HINDU article and joined the group.
