ஸ்ரீ Devan (தேவன் - R Mahadevan)) was a famous Tamil writer, used to write in Ananda Vikatan. Born in Sep 1913, he passed away in May 1957. Some of his more popular novels are துப்பறியும் சாம்பு, கோமதியின் காதலன், லக்ஷ்மியின் கடாக்ஷம் etc. The book Lakshmi Kadaksham was published in 1951-1952. PURASAIWAKKAM புரசைவாக்கம் is a busy and popular locality in Chennai, surrounded by Poonamalee High road, Veperi, Perambur, Kilpauk among others. We were living in Kilpauk during 2002 - 2008 and we used to walk around Purasaiwakkam almost every day.
